Deliverance Church International, Likoni (KE358) carries out the Compassion project in Likoni and became Elimu+'s first institutional partner. It has hosted a youth cohort in 2025 and three adult cohorts in 2026, and has incorporated Elimu+ into its Compassion International budget.
Its first adult cohort was 10 women. At the 30-day visit, 9 of 10 businesses were active. At 60 days, 8 of 10 were confirmed operating, 5 women reported rising income and our field team judged 4 businesses to be clearly growing, with KES 213,190 invested across the ten businesses. Not every business is thriving: illness, bereavement and rising input prices are slowing several, and we report that to the partner as openly as the good news. Read three anonymised case studies →

“Mafunzo haya yaliwapa muundo ambao hawakuwa nao hapo awali. Ufuatiliaji ndio uliofanya tofauti.”
In English: “The programme gave them structure they didn't have before. The follow-up made the difference.”
