We Train. We Follow Through. Businesses Survive.

Elimu+ delivers practical entrepreneurship training to women and youth through institutions that already serve their communities, and then follows participants into their businesses until those businesses stand.

young people and adults trained across four cohorts since 2025

First adult cohort (10 women), Deliverance Church International, Likoni (KE358), at the 60-day follow-up, October 2026. Figures are reported by participants and checked by our field team where possible. With ten businesses, these are early signals, not proof.

Training that doesn't stop at the door.

Most programmes train and leave. Elimu+ trains, then follows participants into their businesses at 30, 60 and 90 days: coaching, troubleshooting and tracking until survival is confirmed. Follow-up is the part of the programme that makes the difference.

Follow-up visits are not free. They are priced per participant and agreed with each partner at the start, so that every visit is properly planned, carried out and reported on. See the 2026 rates →

North star: 75% business survival rate at 90 days.

The SEE Canvas: the tool at the heart of everything

SEE stands for Solutions for Entrepreneurship and Employment. Every Elimu+ participant completes a SEE Canvas: a practical, bilingual business planning framework built on the SAME principle of Simple, Actionable, Memorable and Experiential. Twelve sections. Two pages. One business made clear.

Rahisi. Inayoweza kufanywa. Inayokumbukwa. Inayopatikana.
(Simple. Actionable. Memorable. Experiential.)

Every lesson is grounded in a real community.

Elimu+ doesn't use invented examples. Every teaching moment is built around Mwanahamisi, an omena seller in Soweto estate, Likoni. A single mother. A real entrepreneur. Her business, her customers, her suppliers, her challenges. When participants learn contribution margin, they calculate it for her stall. When they map their competition, they map hers first. This is what it means to train locally.
